- Bun it up – buns are cute, super clutch, and a very easy go-to. This protective style will protect my ends and help eliminate sabotaging my hair growth.
- Hair clips- Hair clips are another great option, this specific clip can be used to sport a high or low ponytail while allowing your curls to flow. I found it at Sally’s for $6. It works wonders!
- Carefully Detangle: It’s best to finger comb or use a wide tooth comb to detangle hair. I detangle on wet or damp hair (if not soaking wet add a few spritz of water) because dry hair is more prone to breakage and use an awesome detangler like Jane Carter’s Revitalizing Leave In Conditioner. Most importantly, I don’t detangle my hair on a day when I’m simply not up to it. Because I can do the most damage by rushing and ripping away at my hair.
- Be cognizant of the damage it causes: Let’s face it our hair is soft, versatile, and beautiful BUT the more that we play, stretch and stress it ….. the more damage and work that we are setting ourselves up for!
Last but certainly not least I’m rocking braids soon! Hopefully these pointers will get me on the right track. Do you have any tips for keeping your hands out of your hair?
